Raqamia Order Confirmation

Description

Raqamia Order Confirmation adds an offline checkout method to WooCommerce. The order is saved with the On hold status. The customer then opens WhatsApp and presses Send to contact the store.

The compact message contains the order number, customer name, final total, currency, confirmation status and the customer’s account order link.

Features:

  • Configurable store WhatsApp number, with no preset recipient.
  • Classic checkout and Checkout Block integration.
  • WooCommerce order APIs for High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).
  • Optional browser navigation to WhatsApp after a three-second delay.
  • Stay here button and a manual link as a fallback.
  • Automatic navigation runs once per order per browser tab, avoiding Back/reload redirect loops.
  • Translatable English source strings, ready for community translations through translate.wordpress.org.
  • No n8n, WhatsApp Cloud API token, QR session, subscription or payment gateway account required by this plugin.

The checkout method and automatic navigation are disabled by default on new installations. Configure the store number and enable the method before use. Existing settings are retained when upgrading from earlier versions.

This plugin does not collect payment, verify message delivery or change order status when a WhatsApp message is sent. Store staff must manually review and update orders. WooCommerce reduces stock for On hold orders; cancel abandoned orders to restore stock according to WooCommerce behavior. Free orders that bypass payment methods are outside this plugin’s checkout flow.

External services and privacy

This plugin uses WhatsApp’s click-to-chat service, operated by WhatsApp/Meta, at https://wa.me/.

The plugin does not make server-to-server requests to WhatsApp and has no analytics or tracking. When the customer clicks the confirmation link, or when the store enables automatic navigation and that navigation occurs, the customer’s browser opens WhatsApp with the recipient number and prefilled message in the URL. This shares the customer’s name, order number, total, currency and account order URL with WhatsApp. The store receives the message when the customer presses Send. Browser/network information may also be handled by WhatsApp under its policies.

Automatic opening is opt-in in the merchant settings. The customer-facing confirmation panel explains the sharing and offers Stay here before the delay expires. Merchants should explain this flow in their checkout and privacy policy. The recipient must be the store’s own intended WhatsApp number.

FAQ

Does it send messages automatically?

No. Optional automatic navigation opens WhatsApp; the customer must still press Send. The browser may require selecting WhatsApp Web or the installed app.

Is this a payment gateway?

It is an offline checkout method. It collects no money. Agree on payment and delivery with the customer separately.

Can a guest use the checkout method?

Yes. Guests can save orders and send the message. The account order link in the message requires the order owner’s customer account and is not a public guest order-detail link. No order access key is included in the message. Store staff should locate the order by its number in the dashboard.

Why did WhatsApp not open automatically?

Check that automatic opening is enabled. It only runs on the order-received page, once per order per tab. It does not repeat after reload or returning with Back. Browsers without session storage, restrictive browser settings or blocked scripts may require the manual link.

Is my existing store configuration retained?

Deactivate older Raqamia test plugins without deleting them before activating this plugin. If an older version is active, this plugin pauses its checkout integration and shows an admin warning to avoid duplicate methods. Upgrading retains the gateway ID and saved settings. Verify the recipient number and automatic opening setting after upgrading. New installations have no default recipient.

What happens on uninstall?

On a single-site installation, the plugin removes its saved gateway settings when uninstalled. Multisite network settings are retained to avoid bulk changes across sites. Orders, order notes and their historical recipient metadata are retained. Deactivation alone keeps all settings.
