I am using CloudfFare with full (strict) SSL and my site mostly worked. Until I tried to add or update a page or post within the Gutenberg editor, it always failed. After some research I read it can be caused by SSL issues and to try an SSL plugin. The first one I tried did nothing. then I saw this one mentioned CloudFlare which I use. Put in my mu-plugins folder and now Gutenberg works!

I was having problems in my WP-MultiSite with CloudFlare blocking JetPack access and not being able to deactivate the “SSL Insecure Content Fixer” plugin without getting a “too many redirects” error, and installing and activating this plugin solved both them.

I have cached my website now via Cloudflare and also encrypted via SSL. Works fine!
